You're probably not played Minecraft since a long time, have you? After completing the game's rather shallow tech tree, there's only so much fun to be had building things with blocks.
However, there's a second way to play Minecraft - with mods. Mods that allow you to build huge factories in the sky, survive a shuttle crash on an alien world, become a powerful sorcerer and live in the tranquility of the forest or all of these simultaneously.
Most articles claiming to have the top Minecraft mods will direct you to incompatible downloads from untrustworthy websites. But we're going to do things differently. We'll give you a selection of five custom-curated packs mods that work in tandem to create a unique experience.
Also see How to unblock Minecraft at school and at work. The modpacks listed below come with a video or an in-game guide to help learn how the game works. However, you may have to use Google occasionally to discover some information.
You will require the Twitch Desktop app (opens in the new tab) to download the modpacks. This will guide you through the entire process of installing. Click the Minecraft tab, click "Browse All Modpacks", and then use the search bar to locate each one.
One important note about hardware: In order to run these mods, you'll require the desktop version of Minecraft installed on your computer. Minecraft isn't exactly what you'd call a well-optimized game, and the extra load that mods put on it means that laptops of lower quality may be unable to compete with larger packs.
